Army claims clearing Shawal valley of militants

SHAWAL: The Pakistan Army has cleared the forested Shawal valley of the militants during successful Zarb-e-Azab operation in North Waziristan Agency.
Briefing the newsmen during their visit to Shawal valley on Friday, Brigadier Shabir said that the terrorists have escaped to Afghanistan, who are now carrying out attacks from Afghanistan. He said that 120 terrorists were killed while 80 injured during operation in Shawal, which was started in August 2015. 
The military official said that the rehabilitation and reconstruction work had already started in Shawal valley, adding that work on water, health, education and electricity projects has been started. He said that the temporary displaced persons from South Waziristan Agency were also returning to their villages.
