Asia Cup: Hockey team leaves for Dhaka

KARACHI: The Pakistan hockey team Sunday left for Dhaka to participate in Asia Cup, which would start from October 11 to 22.
Talking to newsmen before departure, the Head Coach Farhat said that 18 members were a part of the team. He hoped that the team would win the trophy.
Team Captain Mohammad Irfan said that attempts have been made to overcome the mistakes of the past. “We ask the nation to pray for our victory,” said the team captain.
The team would play third match of the series against India.
Besides Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, China, South Korea, Japan, Oman and Malaysia are also participating in the Asia Cup.
