COAS Bajwa chairs first corps commanders meeting; military courts performance hailed


RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired 198th corps commanders conference at GHQ and said that the army would continue to render full support to all state institutions working for national security.
According to ISPR, the conference took comprehensive review of the security environment and operational preparedness of the army. The forum expressed satisfaction on progress of operation Zarb-e-Azb and its positive effects on internal security.
The COAS directed that counter terrorism operation to continue and already cleared areas be stabilized. He also directed to intensify efforts for the return of TDPs. The conference reiterated Pakistan army resolve to be prepared to respond to all types of threat.
The COAS congratulated the strategic organizations on successful test fire of Babu-3. The forum also appreciated the performance of the military courts during the prescribed duration, which resulted into reduction of terrorism.
