CTD arrests four LeJ militants in Karachi


KARACHI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Friday claimed to have arrested four terrorists of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Naeem Bukhari group during an encounter in Mehran Town.
Addressing a press conference here, SSP CTD Umar Khitab said that Naeem Bukhari group was involved in attack on Chaudhry Aslam’s home. He said that Zafar and his brother was involved in attack on Chaudhry Aslam and rejected reports about planting of explosives in Aslam’s vehicle. He said that suicide bomber had hit his car with Chaudhy Aslam’s vehicle.
He said that Mohammad Wazir Hussain Tanoli was office-bearer of Sipah-e-Sahaba welfare. He said that accused Qari Javed joined the Naeem Bukhari group and started terror activities in 2014. He said that the dead terrorists’ families were being paied Rs3000 per month and accused Mohammad Wazir was giving funds to Ishaq Bobi and Asim Kipri.
Meanwhile, the CTD also arrested terrorists involved in Shikarpur Imambargah blast. The CTD officials said that the accused belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammad, who had stored the explosive materials in his shop.
