ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Indus Waters Treaty was an agreements which provided amicable solution of water issues between Pakistan and India.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, Khawaj Asif said that secretary level talks between the two countries on Ratle hydero-electric plant would begin on 12th of next month in Washington.
He hoped that things would move in the positive direction as a result of meeting between Permanent Indus Commissioners of Pakistan and India.
He said outstanding problems relating to Indus Basin will be discussed during the two day meeting.
To a question, he said Pakistan is pressing for implementation of arbitration court’s decision on Kishanganga.
