KP Govt appoints chairmen, vice chairmen of district safety commissions

PESHAWAR: In pursuance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has appointed chairmen and Vice Chairmen for District Public Safety Commissions Charsadda, Mardan and Karak.
According to details, Mr. Haji Zafar Khan, Mr. Abdul Aziz and Mr. Noor Daraz Khan have been appointed as chairmen for District Public Safety Commissions Charsadda, Mardan and Karak respectively.
Similarly, Mr. Hassan Gul Advocate, Mr. Amjid Ali and Mr. Arshad Zaman Advocate have been appointed as Vice Chairmen for District Public Safety Commissions Charsadda, Mardan and Karak respectively.
The above chairmen and Vice Chairmen have been unanimously elected by the members of the concerned District Public Safety Commissions.
The Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of District Public Safety Commissions shall perform all functions and duties as laid down in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017.
The tenure of the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen shall be two (2) years and they shall not be eligible for a second term. The Chairman shall preside over the meetings of the Commission.
In the absence of the Chairman, the Vice Chairman shall preside over a meeting.
It was notified by the Home & Tribal Affairs Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
