KABUL: A highly wanted militant named as Qari Yaseen was killed in a US drone strike in Barmal District of Paktika Province in Afghanistan on Sunday night.
According to media reports, the drone strike targeted a hideout of terrorists where Qari Yaseen along with his three accomplice were killed.
Qari Yaseen was wanted to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for attacks on Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore, GHQ Rawalpindi, ISI office in Lahore and bomb blast at Data Darbar in Lahore besides several other terror activities.
Media reports said that Yaseen was also involved in attacks on Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada and former president Retd General Pervez Musharraf.
Yaseen was affiliated with several terrorist organizations and had assisted militant outfits in several attacks.
