I should be treated equally, says Haqqani
WASHINGTON: Hussain Haqqani, Pakistan’s former ambassador to US has said that he has not requested any concession from court but demanded equal treatment.
According to a report of private television channel, the former ambassador said he has always respected the judiciary. 'The facility extended to a foreigner witness would also be given to a Pakistani citizen.'
Hundreds of Pakistanis work abroad and there is no law to force them to come back, he said. Haqqani said I will come back surely depending upon the circumstances. 'While I was in Pakistan, someone else’s statement was awaited.’ All the investigations are being done due to my association with the PPP, he noted.
