US cannot pay $5,000 for each NATO truck: Leon
WASHINTONG: United States Defense Secretary, Leon Panetta Saturday said the US was facing a financial crunch and therefore could not pay Pakistan the demanded USD 5,000 per truck carrying NATO supplies.
The defense secretary said this during an interview with a US based newspaper. He said that the US will not be able to pay up the demanded sum of USD 5,000 for each truck will passes through Pakistan into Afghanistan carrying NATO supplies.
Leon said that he will take up this issue one-on-one with Pakistan in the Chicago summit.
