PCB yet to submit security plan to ICC

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet submitted its security plan to the ICC for next week’s brief visit by Bangladesh in Lahore.

The International Cricket Council wants to assess the security report of the PCB before deciding whether its safe to send neutral umpires for a one day international at Gaddafi Stadium on April 29.

The ICC has already said it could appoint non-neutral umpires if its anti-corruption and security unit deemed Pakistan unsafe.

PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf admitted on Wednesday that the report was delayed, “but I hope it will be dispatched today.”

Bangladesh, the first major team to tour Pakistan in three years, will also play a Twenty20 on April 30. -- Agencies
