ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira Wednesday said that relevant parties involved in the decision to reopen NATO supplies were told to speed up the consultation process. 

The federal minister was talking to media here after a cabinet meeting which was preceded by a Defense Committee of the Cabinet (DCC). He said that no particular date was committed for reopening of the supplies, adding that no decision in this regard would take place under the table. 

He rejected the notion that a dispute existed between the civil and military leadership over the resumption of NATO supplies. 

Kaira said that the government did not in any way intended to bank on the issue of NATO supplies. He said that any decision would be taken up after due consultation. 

He said that the parliamentary resolution was there to guide us in this context.
