PPP mocking judiciary to voters disarray: Nawaz

MINGORA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said the nation did vote for Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) so that it may pick a bone with the judiciary. 

The PML-N chief was addressing a rally here flanked by the newly inducted Engr. Ameer Muqam. Nawaz said that after the April 26 verdict by the Supreme Court, he suggested that the then Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani was convicted and consequently should resign. 

The PML-N leader said that the whole nation toiled and struggled for the restoration of judiciary during Musharraf’s regime. He said that the PPP has no regard for the apex court and their actions were contentious. 

Nawaz said that SC’s action brought back the money looted by PPP ministers, their wives and sons to the national exchequer. 

The PML-N chief said that this time was not right for indulging in political gains, adding that in the current turmoil attention should be focused to solve the issues faced by the 

He said that the PML-N wanted to extend the Motorway project to Swat, Malakand, Kalam, and Kabul, but the dictator (referring to ex-president Musharraf) stopped them in their tracks. 

Sharif said work on a kidney center in Swat was underway since one year and it the project would soon be completed.

Chaudhary Nisar Ali Kahn, opposition leader in the National Assembly, while addressing the public gathering said that the person talk of casting a Tsunami (referring to PTI Chief Imran Khan) was a novice. 

He furthered that PPP was in shambles due to Zardari while Asfandiyar Wali Khan gouged the Awami National Party (ANP).

Meanwhile, at least 10 journalists attending the public rally were slightly wounded as gusts uprooted a canopy which landed atop media men seated beneath it. The injured were treated in a nearby hospital.
