20 suspects arrested after clashes in Khairpur
KHAIRPUR: The local police and Rangers Friday arrested 20 suspects after imposing curfew Khairpur city on Friday.
The shoot-on-sight curfew was imposed for an indefinite period after a clashes between two a religious groups and the police.
The city’s commercial and trading centres had shut down following the clash. Some unknown persons torched shops in the city, which resulted in clashes between two groups.
At least ten people injured during the clashes. The police and Rangers directed the people of the area to stay in their homes and started search operation. At least 20 suspects were arrested during search operation.
