Policeman among two shot dead in Karachi
KARACHI: The ongoing violence in Karachi Saturday claimed lives of two more persons including a policeman.
According to details, some unknown armed men opened firing at a raiding party of the police at Salarghot area of Malir. Constable Malik Pervaiz killed on the spot while Sabir and Mohammad Khan sustained bullet injuries.
According to Malir Police, on information from detailed assessed Mohsin, the police was going to raid a hideout of the criminals. When the policemen reached there, the armed men opened firing at them. One policeman was killed and two others injured, who rushed to nearby hospital. The attackers escaped after killing the policeman. Mohsin is accused of killing two lawyers.
Meanwhile, some unknown armed men opened firing at car in Sharif Abad area, killing 47-year old Afzal Imran son of Chaman Abdul Ghani. The dead body was shifted to Abbasi hospital, while assailants escaped. The police registered the case and started investigation.
