PM will appeal against SC verdict before May 5
CHAKWAL: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Fauzia Wahab Sunday said that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani would file an appeal against his indictment by the apex court’s in the contempt of court case.
“The PM can file his appeal till June 5, but he would go with the appeal beforehand,” Fauzia added.
She said that even if the Supreme Court upheld its verdict it would then go to the National Assembly speaker after which it would be sent to the Election Commission. According to Fauzia Wahab, during this time the government would complete its five year tenure.
