PESHAWAR: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday said that the PPP would not allow RO elections in the country as court would be moved for electoral reforms in the country.
Addressing a press conference on conclusion of his visit to Peshawar, the former president said that the PPP workers would only leave the polling stations after receiving election results.
Zardari said the no top leader of the PPP was allowed to campaign during the last general elections, which he termed as RO elections. However, he added that this time he along with his son Bilawal and daughter Aseefa would campaign with full force. “Bilawal and I will campaign in Balochistan, South Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Aseefa will campaign in Sindh,” he said.
He expressed his concern over current foreign policy of the government. He said that he did not consider PSP as political party.
To a question, he said that who was declared as godfather by a judge, adding that he would not say more in this regard. He said that there is no change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that the so-called Tsunami has destroyed the province.
