Politicians condemn Quetta suicide explosion

QUETTA: President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah have strongly condemned the blast.
Balochistan Governor Achakzai has condemned the attack and directed security departments to take steps for protection of the people. Achakzai directed for imposition of state of emergency in nearby hospitals after the deadly blast.
In a statement issued in this regard, CM Shehbaz expressed condolences to bereaved families of the martyrs and prayed for early recovery of the wounded.
He said that terrorists follow no religion and are enemies of humanity. He said that there is no tolerance for extremism in a Pakistan envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Terrorists who target innocent lives would definitely be served justice, he said.
PPP chairman Bilawal expressed his condolences to the grieving families of the martyrs and urged authorities to arrange for better medical facilities for the injured.
Terrorists, irrespective of the outfit they belong to, are enemies of humanity, he said, adding that it is a national obligation to defeat them.
