PESHAWAR: Accountability Court Peshawar on Wednesday awarded 3 years rigorous imprisonment to Postmaster Jandola Alla-ud-Din and imposed fine Rs10.57 million.
Accountability Court Peshawar on Wednesday awarded 3 years rigorous imprisonment to Postmaster Jandola Alla-ud-Din and imposed fine Rs10.57 million.
He was involved in embezzlement and misappropriation in payment of pension, while posted as Postmaster Jandola DI Khan. The NAB-KP spokesperson said that accused Alla-ud-Din in league with others, during the period of nine months illegally withdrew millions from public exchequer under the garb of pension arrears and pocketed the same.
It was further revealed that the accused with malafide intention processed a total of 545 illegal, fake and bogus cases of arrears of pensions in the name of pensioners, out of which accused issued 48 illegal and bogus authority letters, whereas in 497 cases, there were no authority letter.
