PTI seeks PML-Q support in NA-120 by-election

LAHORE: A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday held meeting with Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to seek support for the upcoming by-election in NA-120 constituency in Lahore.
On the occasion, the PML-Q leadership tabled numerous complains, alleging the PTI of snatching its key members. Meanwhile, Ch Pervaiz Elahi ensured that Kamil Ali Agha will fully support PTI candidate Yasmin Rashid in the NA-120 by-election.
As per ECP’s notification, voting for the by-election of NA-120 will be held on September 17.
Total registered voters in the constituency are 321,568 among which 179,464 are male while 142,104 are female voters. It is worth mentioning here that the total turnout during 2013 elections from the constituency was more than 51 percent and high voter turnout is also expected in the by-election as polling is going to be held on Sunday.
It should be noted that the seat of NA-120 Lahore constituency fell vacant after Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) disqualified Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister in Panama Papers case.
