Repatriation of North Waziristan TDPs continued on second day


MIRAMSHAH: The repatriation process of Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs) hailing from Danday Darpa Khel tribe in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) continued for the second consecutive day as 250 families have returned to their homes today.
According to political administration, as many as 250 families of Danday Darpa Khel tribe, residing in Baka Khel Camp Bannu, have returned to their native area.
Meanwhile, FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) has said that the repatriation proccess of the said tribe from Baka Khel Camp via Saidgi Check Post would continue till September 19.
The FDMA said that the 2226 affected families should ensure their return by September 19 and warned that registration of the TDPs would be considered as null and void after the deadline expired.
FDMA also said that TDPs would not be given the incentives after the repatriation process expired.
On the other hand, tribesmen of Danday Darpa Khel have accused that their houses have been stormed and doors and roofs have been stolen.
