GILGIT: Four people including a child and a woman lost their lives and twelve others sustained injuries, when a vehicle they were travelling in, plunged into a deep gorge in Babusar Top.
According to media reports, sixteen tourists all relatives and hailing from Thatta district of Sindh were en route to Islamabad from Gilgit when their vehicle fell into a ravine in Getidaas area.
As a result, four people died and sixteen including children and women were injured in the incident. All the victims were said to be hailing from one family who had been to Gilgit for summer vacations.
The dead bodies and the injured people were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital Chilas for medical assistance where two of the injured were stated to be in critical condition.
