Two DSPs punished for corruption, misuse of authority in KP

PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood on charges of corruption and misuse of powers has forced retired one DSP from the department and suspended another with immediate effect.
According to details IGP had received public complaints of corruption and misuse of power against the then DSP Shabqadar Muhammad Fayaz Khan.
The IGP had suspended the said DSP and constituted a committee consisting of three senior police officers for departmental enquiry against him.
The committee completed its enquiry and submitted its report to the IGP in which the DSP was proved to be guilty.
The IGP in light of the report of the committee and the information thus collected from the public circle imposed major punishment and has ordered forced retirement of the DSP from police force with immediate effect.
Similarly the IGP was also continuously receiving public complaints of corruption and misuse of power against DSP Maidan (Lower Dir) Amjad Ali.
The IGP checked these complaints through local senior police officers who substantiated the allegations against the said DSP. The IGP in light of the report of senior police officers suspended DSP Amjad Ali and further ordered departmental inquiry against him.
