LAKKI MARWAT: At least 12 people were killed while more than 100 injured when heavy rainstorm hit various districts in South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to government officials, heavy rain and hailstorm lashed southern districts, including Lakki Mawat, Bannu, DI Khan, which also destroyed crops while the walls and roofs of some houses collapsed.
According to government officials, 12 dead bodies have been retrieved from the debris of the destroyed houses.
At least four people including three children and a woman were killed while over 20 injured in Lakki Marwat. Similarly, at least eight people were killed and 80 injured in Bannu.
The rescue 1122 personnel have started rescue operation in the affected areas. The dead and injured have been shifted to nearby hospital.
