120-day sit-in staged to help Musharraf flee: Maryam Nawaz


LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz has said that 120-day long sit-in was staged to help former President Pervez Musharraf flee the country.
After appearing before returning officer for scrutiny of their nomination papers on Wednesday, Maryam Nawaz said that the “script” against her father had failed.
She also said that she did not care for verdict in disqualification case against Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed.
When asked by the returning officer as to how she would overcome power crisis and terrorism issue, Maryam Nawaz said that they (PML-N) would construct dams.
She added that PML-N had already been taking steps against terrorism.
