CHARSADDA: At least 20 people were injured when a Peshawar bound Daewoo bus overturned on motorway near Charsadda. Two of the injured are in critical condition.
According to details, tyre of a Daewoo bus on route to Peshawar from Lahore burst near Pakistan Kallay in Charsadda. As a result of the tyre burst the bus turn turtled. The bus also destroyed an electricity tower. Most of the passengers were injured due to the electricity tower fall.
Rescue teams, motorway police and locals rushed the injured to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar and Mardan Medical Complex for treatment. The bus driver and a host are said to be in critical condition.
It is pertinent to be mentioned here that 40 passengers were on board in the Daewoo bus.
