ISLAMABAD: At least 42 journalists have been killed in Pakistan during last four years, the upper house of the parliament was informed on Friday. Thirteen of the killed journalists belong to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Senate session was held with chairman Sadiq Sanjari in the chair. A report was presented was presented in the house, in which was revealed that about 42 journalists have been killed in Pakistan during last four years. According to report, fifteen journalists were killed in Punjab, 13 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11 in Sindh and three in Balochistan. The law enforcement agencies have taken action against 13 accused in journalists murder cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which four accused are under trial, two have been acquitted while one is absconder.
