SC grants pre-arrest bail to former IGP Sindh

KARACHI: An accountability court here in Karachi on Thursday issued the arrest warrants for the former Inspector General Police Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali in a corruption case.
Jamali had disappeared on Tuesday after the Sindh High Court (SHC) had cancelled his pre-arrest bails and other police officers accused in the illegal recruitment case.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference in the case last year pleading the court that the accused are responsible for the illegal hiring of 881 people in the Sindh Reserve Police in Hyderabad in 2013-14.
