ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court-I Judge Muhammad Bashir adjourned the hearing of Al-Azizia corruption reference against Nawaz Sharif till July 18.
The Judge adjourned the hearing waiting for the IHC’s ruling on an appeal filed by the Sharif family against the accountability court’s decision on Avenfield properties reference and conducting jail trial.
During today’s hearing, Nawaz’s lawyer Khawaja Haris failed to appear in court.
Meanwhile, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Afzal Qureshi informed the court that the Sharif family’s appeal has been fixed for hearing in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) later today.
Judge Bashir then decided to postpone the hearing till the IHC’s ruling on the appeal.
