All IDPs to be sent back by end of the year, says Jhagra

PESHAWAR:  Newly appointed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Wednesday said that all temporarily displaced families of the Federal Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) should be sent back to their narrative areas by end of the year. 
“One hundred and fourteen thousand temporarily displaced families of FATA have so far returned to their native areas”, said Jhagra while chairing a meeting to review law and order situation and rehabilitation of TDPs.  All prerequisites steps to be taken for ensuring peace that lasts and dignified return and rehabilitation of displaced persons to native areas, added he. 
The meeting was informed that under directives of the Prime Minister all the returning families are being provided maximum facilities.
Each returning family is being provided thirty five thousand rupees and six months ration.
The meeting was told that 3.36 billion rupees have so far been distributed among the returning TDPs.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said the repatriation of seven thousand five hundred TDP families from Orakzai and Kurram agencies should be completed next month.
Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said tribal people have rendered great sacrifices for the nation and they will not be let alone at this critical hour.
