PESHWAR: Provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) Aimal Wali Khan has demanded early elections in the country, saying that the date for elections should be announced promptly,
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the ANP’s provincial president said, “we supports timely elections; we do not want any delay.”
“We are prepared for the elections; our preparations are in place, and we are not running away from elections,” assured Amal Wali Khan. He demanded of the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghhulam Ali to step down. He said, “PDM was a movement, and it has ended now; the ANP is no longer a part of the PDM,” clarified Amal Wali Khan.
“We will not form a electoral alliance with anyone; seat adjustments can happen,” stated Amal Wali Khan. “The toppling of Imran Khan’s government was a decision of the PDM; Maulana Fazlur Rehman worked with pragmatism, not hypocrisy,” asserted Amal Wali Khan. “PTI is not a popular party; it was corrupt, and now its end has come,” he declared.
Aimal Wali Khan backed COAS General Asim Munir s’s efforts to curb smuggling. However, he demanded investigation against the officials deployed at the borders.
