QUETTA: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) here on Thursday exonerated former provincial home minister Gazain Marri from charges of having alleged links with banned militant organizations.
Hearing the case, ATC Judge Dawood Nasar acquitted him saying that no substantial evidence was provided to the court against Marri.
Police had registered a case in 2017 against Marri for supporting banned militants organizations in Balochistan.
Nawabzada Gazain Marri returned to Pakistan in September last year after spending 18 years in self-imposed exile.
He was arrested on his arrival at Quetta airport from Dubai.
