ATC extends Amir Khan remand till June 25

KARACHI: The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday extended judicial remand of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Amir Khan till June 25.
The order comes a day after Khan’s three-month detention period came to an end.
According to initial information, a first information report, FIR No 176/15 was registered at the Azizabad Police Station on a complaint filed by a Rangers official Riaz, who charged Khan for harbouring criminals and providing them protection.
According to reports Khan made a request to ATC for a B-class cell during his period in prison which the court accepted.
Further, Khan had been detained by Rangers when the paramilitary force raided MQM’s headquarters nine-zero on March 11, 2015.
