KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday handed Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Aamir Khan in the custody of police on judicial remand for seven days.
Khan is accused of providing shelter to terrorists and was arrested during the Rangers raid at MQM Headquarters Nine Zero in March.
Khan was booked after a complaint (No 15/176) was lodged at the Azizabad police station by the Sindh Rangers paramilitary force. The case against Khan was registered under section 21J, 11V and 7ATV.
Meanwhile, Rangers released at least 38 MQM activists, arrested from Nine Zero during Rangers’ raid.
The Rangers officially informed the court in this regard.
