BANNU: Professional Doctors Forum on Thursday registered strong protest on non-payment of salaries to doctors on house job for the last six months in three different hospitals located in Bannu. The protesting doctors warned of protest movement if their demands were not met.
According to details, the Professional Doctors Forum staged protest in Bannu Medical Colege against non-payment of salaries. Protesters rally was led by Professional Doctor Association, President, Doctor Khawar. The protesters holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favor of their demands.
They claimed that provincial government has released money for our salaries but, so far none of the 200 doctors have received salaries for the last three months. The Association gave three days deadline for the government to release their pending salaries, otherwise, protest demonstration will be extended to lockdown of main Indus Highway and afterwards they will approach Courts for Justice.
