Benazir Bhutto’s 63rd birth anniversay being observed today

LAHORE: The 63rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is being observed in befitting manner on Tuesday (today).
Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) has arranged different functions to this across the country. The central ceremony will be held at Garhi Khuda Bux to pay tributes to the brave lady.
Quran Khuwani and Dua will also be held at Bhutto House, Naudero, where an Iftar-dinner will be hosted in this regard.
Pakistan people’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Leader of the Opposition in National Assemble Syed Khursheed Ahmed and others will attend the function.
The workers of Pakistan Peoples Party would donate blood across the country.The blood donations collected from all over the country would be given to injured soldiers of the armed forces in war against terrorism and patient welfare societies.
On this day, a statement issued by PPP said “Benazir Butto will stay alive in the hearts of the people of Pakistan and she will never die, adding that her services rendered for the promotion of democracy will always be remembered.”
“Benazir Bhutto was a politician of international stature adding that she took the country towards progress and prosperity,” it maintained.

It is also relevant to be mentioned here that Benazir Bhutto was killed in a firing incident followed by a bomb blast at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh, while she was leaving after addressing a public rally on December 27, 2007.
