Bilawal, Zardari not to appear before NAB


KARACHI: Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president Asif Ali Zardari would not appear before the NAB in Rawalpindi on December 13.
According to reports, the decision was taken during a meeting on Wednesday, which was chaired by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The meeting was also attended by Qamar Zaman Kaira, Nayar Bhukari, Syed Khurshid Shah, Qaim Ali Shah and others.
The meeting decided that the lawyers would appear before the NAB on behalf Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The NAB has summoned Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Park Lane company case on December 13.
The PPP leaders discussed the NAB’s investigations against PPP leaders and current political situation in the country.
Bilawal Bhutto slammed the government for apprehending Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique and termed it political victimization.
The meeting also reviewed the arrangements of Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary on December 27 at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
Bilawal asked the PPP leaders to ensure the participation of activists across the country in the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.
