PESHAWAR: The management of Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit Project (BRT) Thursday termed the allegations of corruption and using poor quality materiel in BRT project leveled as baseless and fabricated.
Assistant resident engineer, Gohar Muhammad Khan, of MM Pakistan Private Limited tendered resignation on Wednesday from his post and leveled charges of corruption in the project.
In a statement, the management of BRT has clarified that Gohar Muhammad Khan was terminated from his service on basis of poor performance and lack of interest in work. It also make it clear that he was internee engineer of private firm MM Pakistan Private Limited and not a government engineer.
The conclusion of service letter issued by General Manager (Operations) of MM Pakistan Private Limited to Gohar Muhammad Khan on dated May 28, 2018, says that the management under clause No 7 of your appointment letter issued on dated May 11, 2108, had decided to conclude your series with immediate effected.
