By-election on local government seats in 7 districts of KP underway

PESHAWAR: The by-election on those local government seats in seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is underway where the turnout of women voters was less than 10 percent.
According to the Election Commission in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the by-election is underway in Kohat, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Swat, Shangla, Buner and Lower Dir districts.
The Commission has said that the by-election is conducted on those local government seats where turnout of women voters was recorded less than 10 percent.
The voting process would continue until 4pm without a break, the Commission added.
The Commission while citing bad weather maintained that voting for the by-election had been postponed in four union councils of Upper Dir adding that these polls would be conducted on March 29.
