ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday announced up gradation of the ranks of Islamabad Police officials and increase in the salaries and allowances of Frontier Constabulary (FC).
Addressing a news conference, Nisar lauded the role of Islamabad police and Frontier Constabulary personnel in ensuring safety and security of the Islamabad residence.
Earlier Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has approved summary of the Interior Ministry for up gradation of the ranks of Islamabad Police officials and increase in the salaries and allowances of Frontier Constabulary (FC).
The package was announced by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
The package has been announced in view of FC’s marvelous services in maintaining law and order and internal security.
After final approval from Prime Minister, a notification in this regard would be issued.
As per details, Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had approved a package to upgrade ranks of Police Constable, Head Constable and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI).
It was approved to upgrade grade of Constable from 5 to 7, Head Constable from 7 to 9 and grade of ASI from 9 to 11.
A statement issued here said that Ch. Nisar also accorded approval to bring salaries of Frontier Constabulary (FC) equal with police in phases within one and half year.
In first phase, the salaries of FC personnel would be given 50 per cent increase.
Besides enhancing salaries, the FC personnel would also be given internal security duty allowance while service duration of FC personal would be increased from 35 to 45 years, this was further approved.
It said salaries of FC personal are being increased in view of their meritorious services for internal security and maintaining law and order situation.
