Chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa transferred, IG likely to be changed

PESHAWAR: The federal government has changed the chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over differences on FATA reforms implementation on Saturday.
Naveed Kamran Baloch was directed to report to Establishment Division, while secretary energy Mohammad Saleem was appointed as new chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, the chief secretary was changed over differences on policing system in tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The chief secretary had opposed existence of new police system, in which both Levies and police would work in tribal districts.
The IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also opposed the plan of the PTI government. According to reports, the IG would also be changed.
Both officials were of the view that keeping Levies in tribal districts would be violation of the Supreme Court decision.
