Chinese FM meets Qureshi at Foreign Office

ISLAMABAD: Delegation-level talks between Pakistan and China foreign ministers started at the Foreign Office on Saturday morning.
The Chinese delegation is being led by foreign minister Wang Yi, while Pakistani side is led by foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
According to FO spokeperson Dr Muhammad Faisal, Chinese State Councillor Yi underscored Beijing’s firm support to Pakistan’s socioeconomic progress and development.
Yi also extended an invitation to Prime Minister Imran Khan to be the guest of honour at the International Import Expo in China.
“China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), economic cooperation, cultural and educational exchanges and regional situation were discussed during the meeting,” the spokesperson further said.
Earlier, Shah Mehmood Qureshi received Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi on his arrival at the Foreign Ministry. They held one on one meeting, which was followed by delegation level discussion.
