CJP assures Musharraf of security upon his return to Pakistan

Musharraf's counsel submits petition to dismiss high treason case

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Tuesday assured the former president Pervez Musharraf of Rangers’ security upon his return to Pakistan.
Chief Justice also directed Pervez Musharraf to record his statement in National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) case.
In his remarks, the top judge also directed authorities concerned to facilitate the former president with the doctor and hospital of his choice.
He has also ordered to open former army general’s farm house in Chak Shahzad for his stay.
Meanwhile, responding to a question related to Musharraf’s return, defence lawyer said that his client is not a cowardly man and that he respects court and all the state institutions.
