CJP directs FBR to present Aleema Khan’s financial details on Dec 13

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) Thursday directed the FBR to submit report regarding Aleema Khan assets by December 13.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, while heading a three-member bench, assailed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman and an income tax official for putting in cold storage the case regarding foreign assets of Pakistani citizens.
The chief justice had ordered that contempt of court notice should be issued against the two officials. However, later on rescinded his orders.
The chief justice remarked that the officials wasted a month-and-a-half of the court’s time. He said that the FBR was using delaying tactics.
The chief justice also inquired about the financial details of Aleema Khan. The FBR was directed to present its report on the matter in court on December 13.
