ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has taken suo motu notice of the alleged rape and murder of the minor girl in Kasur.
The chief justice directed the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Punjab to submit a report to the court within 24 hours.
Meanwhile chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif made the DPO Kasur,. Zulfikar as OSD and ordered formation of JIT for investigation into the incident. The JIT, headed by additional IG investigation Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh, would present its report to chief minister within 24 hours.
