LAHORE: Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan claimed that Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi will take the vote of confidence within next half hours.
As the session of Punjab Assembly started again in the chair with Speaker Sabtain Khan, he announced that Pervervaiz Elahi will take vote of confidence today.
Earlier today, Lahore High Court (LHC) had extended interim relief of reinstating Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the Chief Minister of Punjab till January 12.
During the hearing of pleas against the de-notification of Pervaiz Elahi as Chief Minister and the possible dissolution of Punjab Assembly, the LHC said that the chief minister could not dissolve the assembly until 9am the following day.
