CM promises neutrality in general elections in KP

PESHAWAR:Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Dost Muhammad Khan Tuesday said the Caretaker setup is all out for the peaceful, transparent, free and fair election in the province on July 25.
He was talking to a delegation of senior lawyers of Peshawar High Court at his office in Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar.He said that provincial caretaker government would utilize all resources to facilitate transparent and fair elections and simultaneously the Caretaker setupwould prove its neutrality in the whole election process.
He said that caretaker setup has formed a committee to establish a new department for the newly merged districts of the erstwhile FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The people of merged districts had suffered and the infrastructure of newly merged districts collapsed even the entire public sector institutions affected by the conflict.The government planned, a short term, midterm and long term planning for the overall recovery that included provision of immediate relief, rehabilitation andreconstruction. He said that the quota of the new districts would be maintained and new posts and jobs would be created for the youth of newly merged districts.
He reminded the lawyers of the government efforts for provision of life saving drugs in tertiary healthcare centers. He further reminded that he had declared certain institutions free from load-shedding that included the hospitals, the courts, the jails and other sensitive institutions responsible for the basic services.Both the judges and the lawyers should work harder for the supremacy of law and justice, he said .The delegation informed the caretaker CM about the problems and demands of lawyers. Caretaker Provincial Minister Anwar ul Haq and Asadullah Chamkani were also present on the occasion.– APP
