LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has visited flood affected areas of South Punjab, he said that he will not leave flood affected people alone in this devastating situation, while taking notice of medical facilities and absence of medical staff in Nawaz Sharif Hospital of Layyah, CM Punjab has suspended MS, DMS, AMS and EDO Health and sought report from Secretary Health.
According to details, CM Punjab visited flood affected area of Layyah. Shahbaz Sharif reviewed the food items and medicines in relief camps. District Administration and Cabinet Committee for flood briefed CM Punjab over relief activities in suburb areas adjacent to Indus River. The administration told CM Punjab that water flow at Layyah in Sindh was four lac cusec, while nearby areas have been vacated 100 percent in view of flood situation.
Addressing the relevant institutions, CM Punjab said that no negligence will be acceptable for the restoration and relief of flood victims. He directed to ensure adequate availability of food items, drinking water and medicines. Later CM Punjab also met flood victims in relief camps and inquired about the arrangements in relief camps.
CM Punjab also visited Nawaz Sharif Hospital in Layyah, during which he found absence of medical facilities and staff, on which Shahbaz expressed anger, saying that negligence will not be acceptable at any cost.
CM Punjab has suspended MS, DMS, AMS and EDO Health and sought report from Secretary Health after taking notice of the absence of medical staff in the hospital.
