CM signs summary to abolish KP Ehtesab Commission

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has approved summary for abolishing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission on Tuesday.
According to provincial information minister Shaukat Yousafzai, all the cases, inquiries and assets of the commission would be transferred to anti-corruption. He said that the provincial cabinet would approve Ehtesab Commission Repeal Bill on Thursday, which would be presented in the provincial assembly for approval.
He said that all the assets of the commission including Rs300m and vehicles would also be transferred the anti-corruption department. He said that the services of the 41 contract employees of the commission would be terminated while 107 permanent employees would be transferred to surplus pool.
He said that the anti-corruption department would be responsible for curbing corruption in departments. He said that as the NAB is taking action against small and big crocodiles.
