Commander of banned outfit killed, three arrested in Balochistan

QUETTA: Security forces have killed a commander of proscribed organization and arrested three others during a shootout in the mountains of Buleda area of Turbat in Balochistan.
According to sources, security forces were conducting a search operation in Buleda when the terrorists opned fire on them.
The security personnel, in retaliation, killed a commander of banned outfit identified as Younis and arrested three others along with arms and ammunition.
Meanwhile, at least five suspects were arrested as Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan launched intelligence based operations (IBOs) in parts of the province under Radd-ul-Fasaad.
The security personnel conducted raids on terrorist hideouts in Dera Bugti, Uch and Chaman and apprehended the suspects while explosive and ammunition including IEDs, mines, detonators, grenades and communication equipment were also recovered from them.
Interrogation from the detainees was underway to know about their aims.
Pakistan Army launched Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad in February 2017 across the country to consolidate the gains of multiple counter-terror operations and further eliminate residue of the extremism.
