ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have condemned the Mastung blast, which targeted the convoy of Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the lost of precious lives in the blast.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also prayed for the early recovery of Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and others and directed the authorities concerned to provide better medical facilities to those injured in the attack.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also condemned the blast and enquired about the health of Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.
He expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and condoled with the bereaved families.
Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri directed the concerned authorities to ensure immediate and better provision of medical assistance to the injured people.
He also sought a report from the authorities on immediate basis.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman condemned the blast and said that Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has received minor injuries in the blast.
He prayed for the early recovery of the injured people and termed the explosion an act of cowardice and ruthlessness.
He also said that we all should work together for the country.
Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also condemned the blast and said responsibility of bottling the ghost of terrorism rests with the entire nation.
Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zaffar Jhagra and PPP President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the blast.
